The Chapter with FORTitude!

In 1996, twenty-seven Delta women in the Fayetteville area recognized a need to support and serve military service members, veterans, and their Families. These women developed a plan to charter a new chapter that would meet the unique needs of this group, as well as the local community, through the implementation of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated's National initiatives. FBAAC was chartered on November 16, 1996 at the Radisson Prince Charles Hotel in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Nettie Faulcon, South Atlantic Regional Director, presided and Caldora Gibson, Regional Secretary, assisted.

Fort Bragg Area Alumnae Chapter has transformed into a full-service chapter that addresses the needs of our core demographic on the Fort Bragg military installation and the towns of Spring Lake and Hope Mills, North Carolina.

“Serving Those Who Serve” is more than a motto for The Fort Bragg Area Alumnae Chapter as the majority of our members are active duty or retired service women, veterans, military Family members, or Department of Defense civilians/contractors.

This is a non-Federal entity. It is not a part of the Department of Defense or any of its components and it has no governemental status
